Mohammed Saddiq
Kabodvand, is a lawyer, journalist and human rights activist who on May 2008
was sentenced to 11 years in prison by the Iranian Revolutionary Court for his
involvement in establishing a Kurdish human rights organisation. Four years
into his sentence, Mr. Kabodvand is being denied the right to visit his
terminally ill son. This has led him to undergo a hunger strike for last 54
days, receiving only liquids. The Kabodvand defense committee of Sweden urges
all supporters of human rights across Sweden to gather outside the Swedish
parliament in solidarity of Mr. Kabodvand on Friday 20 July between 3-5 pm.
